Breastfeeding Help

I provide lactation-informed mental and relationship health. I am no longer providing lactation consulting. You can read more at my Madison Breastfeeding Help website.

I bring my experiences as a peer breastfeeding counselor and a board certified lactation consultant to therapy - not as an advocate for particular infant feeding choices but as someone who can offer current, evidence-based information to help families find a path that aligns with their values. I have seen many families experience lactation as a nurturing and empowering experience. I have seen many families experience it as a traumatic and demoralizing experience. Mental and relationship health are an essential part of a healthy breastfeeding experience. I provide counseling support for issues including breastfeeding trauma, loss, and grieving; conflict between parents related to infant feeding; sorting through choices in complicated long-term breastfeeding challenges (like low milk supply or a baby who is not latching); nursing older babies or toddlers; tandem nursing; etc.
